Arcata Medical Marijuana Patient Reviews

This club first opened (late90s) in a house on the street Safeway is on and then moved to another building few blocks away. At first it was run by old smokers and was a cool place. Then a bunch of young hotshot growers took over and made it their club and nd pretty much told everyone f* off.
Then it reopened in the lot of the old Ford garage where it is now.
Carla Ritter (hummingbird club eureka) ran the operation and it was free to join and had decent meds. Then she left and the guy that’s running it now started charging dues. Sorry I've been a member since 96 I'm not paying dues. As far as im concerned this club blows now. I go around the building to another club for meds and edibles. Also there are others next to the BMW repair shop, down the street from the carwash... I heard the reason for the dues is because the guy wants to only deal to the clubs down South direct. Whatever the reason I do NOT give them any money anymore. From what I've seen they are rude and surly and act like they are doing everyone a favor. |

Every single batch of medicine (several strains) I have purchased from THC for the last month has had powder mildew all over it. I have taken it back each time but the problem is not getting better. Powder mildew is extremely dangerous to inhale and it seems there should be some legal ramifications for selling tainted medicine. These people are raking in money and they have to know they are selling us poison. It’s unconscionable. THC is fine with selling us poison just as long as they rake in their dough. |

It definitely sucks having to pay a membership fee just to shop here, but you get a once-a-month discount. The place seems all-together less shady than others, and you can purchase any dollar amount you want. We definitely need some more established clinics in the Humboldt County area. |

This place is a joke, the previous reviewers obviously work there. This place has the worst bud, and they are notorious for spraying chemicals right before harvest. You can taste it. The owner is always slurring his speech when I am there, I don't know if he's drunk or what. I was told I would have to pay to become a member, I have to pay to pay their black market prices? This is hands down the worst club in humboldt and that doesn't say much. For a non profit, I would like to know where those membership fees have gone. As members of a "collective", we are privy to this information. I will never go here again. This place is a joke, so please don't waste your time. |

I prefer the Humboldt Cooperative to any of the other dispensaries in Arcata, 100%. They usually have a good selection and they take care of me when I'm strapped for cash. Yeah, what they do give for free is a little shaky, but it's free, no complaints here. I really don't mind the membership fee, because I made it back in two months and then reaped the benifits. They told me when I was buying an oz, to do the $50 dollar membership and I immediately got 10% off, saving $30, and the next month I made $10. Every month then and thereafter, saved $30 dollars. It's a hook up for good medicine. |

I have been a patient in arcata/eureka since early 2007. The only place I will purchase medicine is at The Humboldt Cooperative. I have always felt welcome. I don't have to worry about too many people in the waiting room. I have anxiety and only a couple people at a time helps me a lot. The staff is always friendly and seem truly interested in making sure I get the medicine that's right for me. Thanks THC and keep up the good work. |

This club makes me sad. I give it 2 stars because it used to be good, but really it only deserves one. The medicine quality is okay, I guess, but "okay, I guess" doesn't cut it in Humboldt County. |

This is and has been the place the growers go to dump their crap! Yes, you might see something half decent, but it likely has mold, or is old and dry and barely potent. Do you folks who love this place ever vaporize that stuff?? The true test of Cannabis is not to combust it. Try vaping the THC stuff it's garbage. And, a freaking membership fee?? Someone has lost his mind. Seriously no where charges a membership! |

0 stars for this place. Airy, stemmy, generally horrible nugs. Great strains, they're just grown so badly that the nugs look like garbage my grower friends throw away. I've only gone here for a couple strains that I only see here. I still feel ripped off even though I force them to go through and pick out the best nugs; otherwise I return it. |

This use to be OK 3 years ago but something happened to make me decide not to go there anymore. I went there over a year and one of the guys working there gets to talking and he has shorted me, so the next time I watched for it and he did it again, then tried to argue with me. I was trying to get an edible business going and went in to talk with him (same guy), and was going to pay for membership to use in case of emergency. The guy gets my referral and starts having a personal conversation in front of me while I wait, so I had enough and told him I had to leave, got my copy of referral back. |

I have been a THC member since the 90s. #317. Until the $50 membership fee. Goodbye THC. Too many other clubs in town. |

25 dollar one time membership fee. I didn't purchase there because of the fee, but I had a good look at the meds. The weed seems good, nothing too great. Edibles look good though. Grams are around 15 and up if I remember correctly. |

Great place...I'm told. I went by to check them out but I couldn't get in without paying $50, what's up with that? None of the other places in town have a cover charge. I guess those patients with "extra" money can join and those like me will just have to not belong. Ya , I know it's a one time fee......whatever. Too bad, so sad, try again. :( |

I'd have to say that the staff is very nice and honest to their patients. Although the medicine has weird names and didn't really help my medical needs. The baked goods are definatly effective and work for what I need them for. This is hands down 3 stars. |

I went in today and purchased some Shivashanti and Maui Wowie, and have to say 'wowie' indeed. The couteous staff at THC have expertly selected some of the cleanest and most satisfying medicine in California! Kudos to them! |

THC is a well run place, the staff is friendly. The medicine products they have very weird names, although trying some I learn they work well for my medical needs. My favorite is their baked goods, they are very good and low priced. |
