Arcata Medical Marijuana Patient Reviews

Being a new patient who is Social Security eligible, this place is a real treat. Having seen friends go to jail for a mere seed in the late 60's, we have come a long way. I love their "trim" when they have it. It is low cost, makes dynamite tincture and canabutter. And like most of the reviews I have read, I agree staff is not only friendly but most helpful to a new old timer like me. Keep it up. | |

This is the best collective in Arcata! Sometimes they do not have a wide selection of medicine, but it is always good quality. I would rather support them then any other collective in Humboldt because of their honesty. The prices for meds are awesome and quality. They also have excellent genetics (clones) for good prices. They will not BS you at all, very staight up, honest people! See for yourself! |

Hands down, HPRC is the best in the county. I've visited all but one, sampled numerous medicinal choices, and it isn't even close. Not only does HPRC produce absolutely the best medicine available, but they are dedicated to helping the environment and the community. This isn't just a slogan. I've talked with numerous people there, and they all share a common set of values that giving back to the community and helping the environment is important. HPRC uses its revenue to fund a community wellness center, which offers a variety of free services to the community. These range from art and exercise classes, to life skills classes, to a free nutritionist. This isn't just a fluff thing. This means patients ill with cancer or HIV are able to meet with a nutritionist for free. |

I have been very sick from complications from having a bad liver, so weak that I have a hard time getting up to eat and care for myself. Pain and nausea have been my everyday life since October 09. This resource center cares for the patents. They set me up with a dietitian, for guidance, got me juicing raw large fan leafs they charge me nothing for, and I wash them before sending them through my champion juicer and they are flawless and very juicy. I feel like this has saved my quality of life. I just walked to park and no nausea, it's better than wheatgrass. I always feel welcome there, and even when it's busy, fast service, from a place that cares. |

Today was just another day that I chose the HPRC over other local clubs in Arcata. The reason for this is: |

Warning. Don't buy clones here if you don't want mites. |

Very helpful and reasonable prices. We were traveling through the area looking for quality clones when we found the listing for this club. Our initial phone call was a pleasant conversation on variety of clones and price ranges. Directions to their location were given and we preceded to their location. We arrived to find a clean location and friendly staff. The clone selection was fantastic selection of size and strains. We are very satisfied with our decision to visit this club and will return when ever we are in the area. |

My favorite Cannabis Club. The medicine is all good, my favorites are Pineapple Trainwreak , Blue Dream, Buba Kush, Salmon Creek Big Bud I got yesterday was great. I have gotten clones there and have never had any problems in thr past 3 years. In fact, drove 2 hours each way to get my medicine once a month from fort Bragg, when there was an OK club in town there. The staff are very nice and are always helpful. The big difference is you can see what you are buying. |

Who sells clones that are free of pests? You cannot be organic and never get pests. I would rather smoke a few mites than smoke chemical insecticides. Rosco it sounds like you are a very well seasoned grower with great knowledge. Maybe you should open a dispensary and show everyone else how it's done. I am surprised with all your know how that you are smoking anyone elses medicine but your own. |

Just dropped by the other day after a brief hiatus and found their (Green)Crack team of troubadours and troubadettes busy as usual. This resource facility is not designed as a full-service lounge, clinic, or counseling center. They try to provide the best quality medicine at the best price for pickup and go. They do a bong-up job of producing all botanicals on-site which allows total control of the proven strains they grow from clone to finish. The famous D.J. Short is said to have made a major contribution to the excellent line-up. Baked goods are usually available as are rooted clones at prices from $5 to $35. Plugs are the cheapest and at this time of year are a good deal for the outdoor grower or anybody growing their own prescription. I haven't been to very many dispensaries, so maybe I'm too easy, but these are nice folks in their particular niche. Hey , look, any excuse to visit the Humboldt Autonomous Region, but call ahead if you're traveling far. |

Humbolt Patient Resource Center is the most legitimate game in town. I know they use neem to try to take care of all the mites. And when it is commercial once you get mites, you will never get rid of them without the use of an actual miticide. So a little bit of mites should let everyone know they are being worked with organically. If your a really avid gardner I would ask what kind they use so you know to use something different when you take them home. I know the use omri listed dirt and all bio bizz fertilizer which by simply using there full line you can become certified organic for hydroponics. My only beef is that Oasis Cubes dust, debry, particles are carcinogenic to our lungs. Like rockwool, or like the insulating in most homes. The plug itself will not hurt you and once in a wet environmnet you won't be breathing, however handling them dry in a box is a different story. |

These folks represent the highest standard in this new industry. Patients come first, period. Requests are heard, suggestions are implemented. They have an honest open door policy and will tell you what they have in clones and medicine over the phone. All staff, yes, all the staff are over the top! Their waiting room even looks nice. There aren't security personnel hanging around inside or out. Other collectives and dispensaries should plan a visit and learn! Thanks HPRC for your professional work and your considerate attitudes! |

I have always regarded the HPRC as a model cannabis club. They grow all of their medicine in-house, they allow community tours, and their staff is welcoming and kind. |

This is mostly a response to another post. I too have gotten plants infected with mites from this place, but I have finally realized that the proper use of sulfur vapor takes care of both mold and mites, so I have no more worries. The smell isn't really an issue if done at the right temp and vented properly. I am really posting this because I am proud of the HPRC for selling me some clean clones the other day. I walked in on a Friday (half off clones day / some strains $5 each, not the most expensive in the county at all) and they had been cleared out but I got a few remaining Red Dragon clones. I had car trouble that left me stranded on Saturday, and I was worried they would be dying by the time I got home. To my extreme surprise, 30 or so hours later the clones hadn't even wilted a little, although the rockwool cubes were completely dry. It's been 2 days since then and they haven't shown any effects from the traumatic transplant at all. A single leaf bent down a little, but it's back up. I'm left thinking WOW, either the strain has serious hybrid vigor or the HPRC really did it right. |

I love these people. They are open, friendly and respectful. They don't act paranoid of everyone that calls or walks in the door. In fact, you can call ahead and if they are busy they have a message greeting stating everything available that day in medicine and clones. They have a sale on fridays on the clones and you get to pick the ones you want for yourself. If you get one or two that is not rooted they will replace them. |

These guys are for the most part nice and have some okay medicine for sale. They try to do the right thing by the community with the free classes etc. I have to wonder why I have gotten infected plants from them not just once but twice. I know, my fault for giving them a second chance, but they seemed nice and I thought I could trust them. Perhaps they are just so large an operation that the pest problems there have become uncontrollable. In any event, I would suggest not buying clones here. Even after dipping in neem, the clones I got from HPRC infested my room :( |

I recommend HPRC (as of now). I am a new patient. I found a very friendly reception and answers to every greenhorn question I asked, and a few answers to questions I forgot to ask. I rate on hassle-free contacts and reliability. I ordered a couple Blue Cross clones to do my first shakedown test, and they seem to have been very healthy. In a few days I'll be enjoying my first taste of home made relief. A few spider mites were discovered the last 3 weeks and were easily checked. I think it starts as the clubs responsibility to maintain consistent, healthy, and potent strains. Then responsibility tranfers once homecare begins. I'm too new to rate the consistency value yet. If my next medicine is different, and I've not changed my strain or program, then I can judge consistency. So far I am very pleased with HPRC but can, and will add or subtract rating or go elswhere if experience deems. Relief to all. |

Great selection of clones at a pretty decent price. Good selection of medicine too, had some stuff on sale for $20. Offers free classes to the community, including but not limited to, yoga and tai chi, and massages at a discounted rate for members. Overall great place to go and great atmosphere. |

Beware of the G13 clones, terrible powdery mildew. And I totally agree with the feller who pointed out the "common flavor" I've noticed this as well. I belive it's due to improper flushing?? or no flushing at all. Indoor needs at least 25 day flush and thats only if your organic! If chemicals are used, a proper flush can never be acheived... FOR SHAME |

The best club in town. The staff is helpful, kind and knowledgable. The product is high grade and consistently fine. The space could be a little larger but the staff more than makes up for it with their helpfullness. |

This collective has the freshest, best tasting medicine of all the collectives I have shopped at or joined. I've been to approximately 12 or so dispensaries, and grew my own medicine on the Mendocino coast for many years. Growing all their own product in house makes for better quality control, and fresher medicine. They even sell their trimmings on certain days (expect a large crowd), and are more than willing to walk you through the cuttings selection process. |

They're very friendly and the meds are great. It's nice to know I have the option of buying a different strain every now and then. The place is clean and close by. It would be nice if they had a website that stated what strains they have available during the week when they get some new stuff in. |

I bought clones from HPRC last week and they were infested with fungus gnats (The worst case of gnats I've ever seen). I found PM on several of their clones and pointed them out to the staff. Although I did not see any live mites on the clones there were signs of spider mite damage to some of the leaves. |

This is hands down the highest quality over all. The people are professional, all the medicine is grown organic. The clones are healthy need I say more? |

Just got back with 4 different strains: Trainwreck, Pineapple Trainwreck, Maui Wowie and Caboose. All were of the highest quality and produced immediate pain relief. |

HPRC is a great club. Yet, I am not at all surprised to see a couple negative comments about their mite problem and the chemicals they use. Organic or not, the growers have selected a routine and use it so much that even between the numerous high quality strains they grow, there is a perceived loss of diversity. The flavors of each amazing strain, to me, end up second to a common flavor present in all their strains. This I dislike very much. The quality is consistent. I actually just pulled out 6 seeds from an eighth of HRPC Purple Kush. They were gorgeous metallic blue-purple seeds, all exactly the same shape, color, and size, not one of them showed any immaturity. I actually smoked one on accident, and it seemed to take the heat well. Another problem I see that might make better medicines: I don't think that their products are cured. I will always prefer cured buds to fresh. I still love these guys though. I usually go to them when I need meds that work without a doubt, and this is the first place I recommend for medicinal users. |

These dudes are not organic and should stop claiming they are. Mold and spider mites on every harvest and using chemmies every day. |

The HPRC is one of a kind. Their experienced growers produce 100% of the medicine in-house. When you leave with your brown paper lunch bag, you can be sure that's the farthest your medicine has ever traveled from its home. Everything is grown organically in soil, and it is happy healthy bud. The bud is consistently of exceptional quality, and every bag is overweighed. |

The overall customer service is one to be desired. Don't be fooled by the uncanny appearence inside the clinic; for behind the counter lies an evil to be reckoned with. No ladies and gentelmen I am not talking about smoking the herb of youth, but rather Potassium Sulfate! Haven't you ever wondered why bud smells the way it does? I have a philosophy, if the herb dont smell like plant then it's not organic. HPRC's meds are not organic and half your sack is a stem. I would not advise anybody to go to this clinic. |

The Blue Cross (blueberryxNL5) was amazing. So gold it looked blue, naturally very dense, very potent but doesn't put you to sleep (my girlfriend said she was more stoned than she'd been since high school), perfumy almost 'poop' scent. |

The thing I like most about HPRC is that they grow all the medicine in-house or farmed out to certified growers. All of their meds are grown in low humidity organically in soil. None of the other coops can boast their meds are grown in a controlled enviornments. Personally I've gotten sick from smoking PM infected bud from the humboldt cooperative "THC". I'm by no means speaking badly about the people that work there. But when you are in the business of selling medicine to sick people, then there needs to be some sort of quality control. |

Many purple strains bleed dark purple/red fluid when you snap the stems. This isn't caused by dye. That's scientifically infeasible. The roots can't even absorb a dye. |

No way is that true, all their medicine is organic. HPRC even does openhoueses where they show all of their grow rooms to the community, there is no way that they add dye to any their medication. In my opinion HPRC is one of the best and most legitimate cannabis dispensaries in the state. |
