5 stars for medicine and service. I follow their Twitter feed. and I went through the Twitter feed and they hooked me and my partner up for mentioning one of the posts. I've gotten bonus medicine and good advice many times here. If you are reading this today and already know what feed I am talking about, go check it out right now. If they have medicine that is not so great, they mark it down and will even tell you hey, this is not so great. If you don't like some medicine, they will do exchanges or store credit no problem. I've read reviews of people saying they bought moldy bud and they wouldn't take it back but those people were obviously either lying or trying to return some other stuff to make $20 or whatever their goal was. I don't know what to say about location or the building or any of the other stuff people are commenting about. Arcata is pretty rough with their regulations. Regs are so tight in Arcata that patients are lucky collectives are allowed to post their store hours on the door. I'm sure the Sai Center would go open up some storefront on the plaza with hot Indian food next door but that would never be allowed by the city. The local competition has spots like behind a Mexican restaurant, a parking lot hole in the wall... I mean what else do you expect in Arcata? Those places are alright too, don't get me wrong. It is true that if you sampled random days of going here, you might not have a great experience. Some of the former budtenders did suck but they don't work there anymore so I don't think that matters. The budtenders now are awesome and can generally share first-hand knowledge about the current medicine, good or bad. I'm glad they've all managed to stay around this long and I hope the founder and the budtenders know that some people think they are doing a good job.

I don't know who this guy thinks he is, but the Arcata iCenter I know is good. Although sometimes strange smelling month old popcorn nuggets are sold there, they always have something fresh and delicious, and I've never seen spider mites or mold on anything from them.

But they aren't as good as some others, and here's why:
1. They don't have jars, or some kind of display set up so that I can see my options, and perhaps smell them too, without asking them to take out bag after bag, and then trying to remember what they all smell like.
2. Their show room is dark and small, and occasionally an employee will seem reluctant to do his job, or they will pressure you into making a decision before you've seen all the buds. But this is also because they don't have a sample of each variety on display.

They have some decent stuff, and some really thick, fresh, sweet, clean buds. I think most people would just rather go to the place down the street that has better atmosphere, customer service, buds on display in jars, and the convenience of knowing exactly where and how your medicine is produced; in the room behind the counter, and scientifically.

All the iCenter needs to break its competition is a couple thousand dollars to invest in more equipment, and whatever else they need to turn their huge, mostly empty building with a small shop in the back into a medical grade cannabis farm and dispensary.

I've read alot of these reviews and basically stayed away from this place for a little while untill yesterday. No one open but them! I must say besides the appearance of this place they do have quality meds. I got 2.5g's of "Miss Bliss's Sis" and let me tell you what. This medicine is awesome! They completely blew away anything I've gotten from others so far. They have hash and they also have better deals on joints and cheaper sacks of crumble and what not. These guys aren't to far behind others after they hopefully get a bigger room to support more patients than one or two at a time..

Do not vend here unless you're really desperate, the staff is nice even with being on the verge of a nervous breakdown from the owner. The owner tries to screw vendors by not paying when he is supposed to. The owner is also dealing with a bunch of lawsuits from vendors; he’s a shady character who should not be supported in this community.

Hey talk about flaky time wasters, they are so unprofessional and immature. They ask for starts but when presented with perfect trays they want to consign them then say well they haven't the room. I will present a policy for having to be a 5-year county resident to open a storefront. However, as I see it, a lot of out- of-staters and those from L.A .- le them at this place. I think it's a little nefarious as I am not in need of their service but simply vending. So I will not take my product to them. I'll stick to the old Arcata cooperative.

Moved to the area in August. I have been going to this establishment for weeks. There is definetly room for improvement, but the male staff is pretty nice. The guy with the long ponytail and is asian maybe, he is pretty informative. They show you what they have, they let you smell it, investigate, weight it out infront of you, and have a pretty good selection most of the time. They also let you bring what you have back if you are not happy with it, so long as its in the same condition as it went out (not smashed up or anything). Its not cheap buts its not too expensive. I think its pretty good here.

Worst place ever! No one who works there seems knowledgeable about marijuana. There is a very, very high turnover rate. I was sad to see the one dude go, he and the black dude were always helpful. The boss seems to complicate the situation more than help. He is constantly talking down to the employees. He is terrible towards his vendors (me) and treats everyone like crap, including his young daughter. I do not find it a comfortable place to buy my medicine because of the stress level. I don't want to hear a baby screaming through a baby monitor while I'm picking up my medicine.

I definitely won't go to this clinic anymore. Last time I stepped foot in there they had a shady little dude holding a video camera, taping all the patients while they waited in line and bought their medicine. I asked them what they were doing and they claimed it was for a "documentary." Now, whether it's for an documentary or not, I don't want to be filmed by anything other than a security camera while I am in a clinic purchasing medicine. I asked them not to film me, but they continued to do so.

The employee turnover rate here is ridiculous, it's like there's a new face every time you go in. I am all bout hiring students in the area, but maybe this establishment could set aside some time to train the people they employ, and teach them the rule of common decency towards patients.

The last time I picked up a business card from this coop, they had themselves called the Arcata Sai center, instead of iCenter. I think it's just another shady cover up for some other scheme they're trying to pull off.

The customer service here is also a huge downfall. Tag it on to the inexcusable waiting time just to get into the vending room, and you've got yourself a pretty lowly clinic.

Unfortunately, there aren't too many dispensaries in the Humboldt County area, and people are most likely going to have at least one bad experience here before they realize.

This club gets two thumbs down.

The iCenter is the worst dispensary I've ever been to. The staff is rude and unorganized, and everytime I've gone in there is some stupid side talk going on. The quality of the bud is okay for the donation, but is overlooked by how awful this place is. The only thing good about this place is the hours. I leave feeling like I shouldn't have given this establishment my money. My advice is go to the 2 other places in arcata and avoid this place altogether.

First stop here I called for about 10 minutes and no one answered. I pulled up to the location and saw people coming in, so I went in and sat in the new patient area and waited, and waited, and waited. After about 40 minutes, I gave up and left. I came back the next day to try it again, and I waited 20 minutes to get acknowledged and another 15 to get in. While waiting, there was an argument in the waiting room between a vendor and one of the co-op staff over money and they basically told him, too bad come back another time, the owner is too busy to deal with you". Shady!

Once I got to the back it was another 10 minutes to get into the actual bud room. This being my first trip to a co-op up north I was eager to try what they had, so without looking I asked for an 1/8 of the 4 strains on the board. The bud tender gave me the dirtiest look I had ever seen in my life. I don't know if asking for 4 1/8s is not customary in nor cal or not, but I definitely have never had a problem with that here in so cal. Anyways, he proceeded to weigh out my meds while I struck up a conversation with another patient who happened to be from the same area as me, which was nice. After weighing out 2 1/8s and a 1/4, he proceeds to tell me that he is only going to give 2 1/8s and a 1/4 because it would take too long to weigh the 4th. Lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy! Seriously, how hard is it to weigh out weed?

There were no labels on the baggies, and no stapled bag with the meds in it. I found it funny that the staff were telling me about how wack the clubs are and how terrible the buds are in So Cal, and to be honest this was the absolute worst co-op visit I've had. No membership paperwork, it took over an hour, and I didn't even get what I asked for. No first time special, they didn't follow any basic co-op rules, and I honestly did not feel welcomed. On my next trip I will definitely try to scope another spot.

I started to comment but decoded I was getting less stem, and receiving the uppermost part of bud is good, however on the way home to eureka I started thinking the snapping the buds in pieces breaks off the triggs over the bag, leaving the Icenter with the active thc from the triggs. I wish the places would train their employees of how to handle cannabis. I guess it's a good deal for the icenter workers. I think I will reconsider using them in the future.

I have stopped going there after they ripped off many of my friends who happen to vend. The medicine they do sell, is pure crap! It tastes of chemicals, doesn't look all that great, and the staff just doesn't seem to know what they are doing. I use to vend with them but I will never step foot in his establishment again. He thought he would get me to sell my product and sell based upon sales document. Then when I had a problem with it, he immediately said that I had a product which had a smell issue which would cause him to have to reduce the purchase price even further. The owner is full of games and is attempting to stay afloat on the backs of a few vendors desperate enough to give him their medicine to keep the lights on. We all have our issues but this company has taken a turn for the worst. We should all stand up and put a end to people like this. Stop going in and use on of the other choices. The owner, when there, has always been polite to me and has even asked for my opinion on some medicine he was about to purchase. So, they do care what their clients think. I believe everyone has their bad days but to not give this place a chance, well you would just be missing out! If you have a problem with the staff, ask to speak with the owner about it. If there is a problem with the medicine you are buying or the clones you are picking up, say something to the owner/management. Feedback is what is needed, constructive feedback. First on a list of grievances is the poor attitude and unprofessional conduct of the staff, who constantly swear, make fun of patients, are are dressed like outcasts from a Snoop Dawg video. Secondly, the medicine is just not on par with the other dispensaries in the area as it often consists of small, improperly dried buds with low crystal content. I'll relate my experience for the benefit of anyone thinking about going to this place or not because of some reviews.

On the employee issue, I have noticed that employees seem to disappear. The manager from last year was very good and his two employees were quite friendly. The manager from 2008 was also very professional. In 2008, I would give this place 5 stars.

Currently, the staff seems fairly informed. There is one person with tattoos who is especially helpful. If it took firing people to find a reasonable crew, the owner did a good job.

As for these negative reviewers, these seem like the same few disgruntled people posting over and over here and on craigslist. If you all don't like this place so much, stop going. I know some of you still go there as I have had to sit in line listening to you spread rumors about how shady the owner is just as you are just about to go in and buy from his dispensary. No need to tell people in line how you had your consignment switched or how your friend got burned on a deal. Nobody cares and we think you are A) annoying and B) silly for patronizing the same dispensary you are slandering.

People keep saying the owner is such a bad guy because he loses his temper over problems likely caused by testosterone-rich little boys like these complainers.

I have had the opportunity to vend with them and I see no error with their methods. I have never had my medicine/clones switched nor have I ever been shorted on medicine or compensation. If anything, they have been very generous.

Reviewers who complain that they were overstocked and couldn't take your medicine need to understand business. They can't stock everything that anyone brings them. If they say your product is cured incorrectly, it is probably cured incorrectly. If they say they have no space for your product, they probably don't have space.

The vending complainers are likely too high strung and impatient to grow top-shelf product. You all shouldn't bother going in. You will save yourself a good deal of stress.

A year or so ago, a reviewer said an employee threw your ID card back at you. This person was 7 months pregnant at the time and has stake in the business. I was surprised she came to work at all. I wouldn't have.

In summary, to anyone considering going here, you will most likely leave with exactly what you came for without any hassles except possibly being harassed by the same people complaining here. The only thing I wish this place had was a bouncer on staff to kick people like this out.

I've been visiting this club for over a year now and this is what I have found...

Certain members of the staff don't have the people skills necessary for this job. That being said, the ones that do are very good at what they do. I wonder if some of the previous commentators went in on an off day or are visiting on days that they're not working or something. Also, I cannot verify about treatment of vendors because I've never been on that side of the equation.

If there is a line, they do try to rush only to keep the wait as short as possible, but this does not mean that you are getting inadequate service in my experience. As long as you go in with a smile and are polite, I've found that most of the people there are more than happy to show you whatever you want and are knowledgeable (to a degree) about their medicine. I go in and ask what they've got in what I'm looking for (usually a sativa) and they show me what they have that they think is good. I'll generally only look at the top 4 they recommend and when I have looked at the others, I still picked one of the 4 they recommended, they were just better. Quality is usually excellent and worth every penny and their prices are very competitive for the area. I've tried the others, but keep returning to this dispensary for the value. I think this is why there are lines, I can't be the only one who only goes because I think they deserve my money. To anyone who wants to complain about anything, vote with your dollar. If you think they suck, don't spend your money there and you will be happier for it.

Do not go here. This is the worst club in humboldt. The staff here does not know anything about the medicine or clones they are selling. The medicine over half the times (prob. more) have mold, mite damage, and just sucks. They have signs looking for (high quality medicine) but when you bring it in, they give you a whole load of bull shit and want to pay you dick for the time and energy it takes to produce mold/bug free high quality medicine. They are scam artists, if you want to be treated like a custe, then go to the icenter.

These people are a joke when it comes to a knowledgable and professional dispensary. The owner has ripped off about every grower in the area on clones, and he cares nothing about compassion. He is strictly in it for the money. I know, I used to work there... He tells growers that most of their clones died or were not rooted properly, and he can't pay them... He yells at employees, and is truly unprofessional... You would get better service from a hippy in the Plaza...

Coming from the LA area, I thought I had been to some pretty shady clinics, but that's before I moved up to Arcata and went to the iCenter. The staff is rude and it seems that their main goal is to get your money and get you out; they don't care if you find the right medicine or not. The sacks aren't pre-weighed but you have to ask them to see every strain, and they are reluctant to let you look through more than 3-4 even though they have 10+ strains. Additionally, some of their better strains aren't even up on the board, so you have to ASK to see "what's not on the menu" just to get the good stuff.

Just about every time I go I have to wait in a line. Sometimes I've waited for 30+ minutes. I don't know where they get their business model, but treating customers this way won't get them many more.

I've been to this dispensary around 10 times and they still have yet to hook up my sacks at all. If I go in and order an 8th of something and the scale reads out to 3.6 they will actually go into it and take out that .1 extra...ridiculous. And the best thing is that in the event they give you ANYTHING extra on your sack (as low as .01), they WILL charge you for the extra little bit. I'm seriously not joking! The owner tries to justify this policy by stating that it's necessary to keep strict track of their financials, but it's obvious that it's just in place to maximize his profit.

I thought that things would get better as I went there more and got to know them, but I've been disappointed and treated poorly every time. I doubt that I will ever go to this dispensary again. I definitely do not recommend it to anyone.

This is the worst cannabis club i have ever been to. Good location in a well kept building, but sorry to say that is the highlight of this club. Employees only serve one at time resulting in a 15 min wait minimum. Medicine is not preweighed, only 3 to 4 strains to choose from as far as clones go.

I would not recommend this club to any living in Humboldt county....I stopped going back after my second visit as they shorted me on a 8th (trust me i went home and weighted it) and were not willing to compensate me....a club worried about .7 grams and not the fact of loosing a potenital lifetime customer is not worth it.....Negative 5 stars

The dude running the spot seemed like he was really up-tight; however, I got great service. the quality of the medicine was outstanding! I used to love this club, I frequented it on a very regular basis. In the last month or two this club has gone down hill. This club used to have lots strains to choose from and at least 80% of them were great. In my past few visits (about 4) my opinion of the club has changed.

The selection (at least what is listed) has gotten smaller and the quality of medicine has also gone down. The staff that used to be friendly and knowledgable is now replaced by 1 decent employee and 2-3 complete idiots. This is a service industry your providing medicine for patients and have no reason to enforce stingy inhospitable rules in which you can only purchase a very little amount of the medicine that you know will work for you. In a service industry you take care of your client and you aren't rude.

On that note, the owner has always sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Multiple times I have seen him be very rude to customers (not me) and even yell at one in front of a big line in the store. I have a strong feeling that he is the reason his quality employees are no longer there. As a vendor and a patient I will never go to the iCenter again. Thank you.

I visit this club every month when I go to Arcata, and I've been going here for about 3 years now. Really, I just stop in to see what they got on my way around Arcata visiting all the dispensaries.

In my opinion "some of the time" they have some pretty good medicine, I've got some grade A+ Purple Erkle and Granddaddy Purple, they even had some very tasty Master Kush and Caramel Kush! And I'm a connoisseur of the beautiful Mary Jane! I want to see all of the strands on their board and smell and inspect the medicine to make sure it fits my standards and will be good medicine for me.

However, when you go to the iCenter you wont be allowed to look at all the strands on the board, even if there is no line behind you. Sometimes I get someone cool and they let me look at quite a few strands, one guy told me there was a maximum of 4 strands I could see. Which I figure, Why have like 12-15 strands if u aren't going to let people see them all. They should have 4 then!

But, for the most part, the people are short, rude, and rush you out. They just want to get that cash and get the next guy in to get his, and so on. I have to say though, the guy that owns the place is a very cool guy, I like when he’s there and helps me. He just needs to hire some more chill, down to earth employees.

After reading some of the other recent posts that were somewhat negative regarding the customer service levels at the Arcata iCenter, I feel the need to express my experience.

I visited the iCenter for the first time in April and it was a very positive experience. I was a little worried after reading some of the responses on this website but I was very happy to find that the staff was very polite and they answered all of my many questions. I was in and out of the building in less than 20 minutes and I left feeling very comfortable and more knowledgable than I was when I arrived. I feel badly that other people had negative experiences but for those that are looking for a good dispensary in Arcata, I absolutely recommend the iCenter.

The Arcata iCenter is positively worth the drive. I drove 325 miles just to go there. Why, because the rumors (reviews) are true. The two gentlemen working were very courteous and answered all of my questions. I was greeted at the door and brought to a side office for a brief verification. After that I was brought into a private, one-on-one service room. A chalk board with apprx 16 strains although some where out. Not a big deal. I would rather keep the medicine fresh than to overstock. They also had one kief and one hash. I like providers to show (show off) their herbs. They placed large open bags on the table for me to examine. I found one of their indicas to be an A++, one of the best I have had and it had a dynamite high. As far as prices, I found them to be excellent. It's nice to see an organization who is really one of two providers, not jack up there prices. Didn't make it to the other one. I am sure it's nice too but iCenter is a must.

So I am expected to drive 15 miles to find out they don't have anything that works well for me. I don't imagine the iCenter will survive too long unless they get someone more user friendly to answer the phone. They would be better off letting the machine pick up then have that girl take their calls. Odd behavior for medical marijuana club employee. Chill out and relax, would ya?

Some in the community disparage this club due to its easily accessible location and the healthy food that was allegedly served without proper paperwork. Despite those illogical claims, this is an example of how to run a compassionate business. They offer valuable services such as biofeedback and are genuinely concerned about a patient's health and well-being. It is definitely a far cry from the clubs which are only concerned with a single goal.

Strain-wise, this club has some true gems which I won't divulge here by name. Let's just say these aren't your typical heavy yielding stoned type strains. They have truly valuable medicinal offerings which are desired everywhere in the world.

The one complaint I've heard is the verification and identification process is too stringent. I guess some patients are impatient.
