Arcata Medical Marijuana Patient Reviews
Posted April 4, 2011 | |
5 stars for medicine and service. I follow their Twitter feed. and I went through the Twitter feed and they hooked me and my partner up for mentioning one of the posts. I've gotten bonus medicine and good advice many times here. If you are reading this today and already know what feed I am talking about, go check it out right now. If they have medicine that is not so great, they mark it down and will even tell you hey, this is not so great. If you don't like some medicine, they will do exchanges or store credit no problem. I've read reviews of people saying they bought moldy bud and they wouldn't take it back but those people were obviously either lying or trying to return some other stuff to make $20 or whatever their goal was. I don't know what to say about location or the building or any of the other stuff people are commenting about. Arcata is pretty rough with their regulations. Regs are so tight in Arcata that patients are lucky collectives are allowed to post their store hours on the door. I'm sure the Sai Center would go open up some storefront on the plaza with hot Indian food next door but that would never be allowed by the city. The local competition has spots like behind a Mexican restaurant, a parking lot hole in the wall... I mean what else do you expect in Arcata? Those places are alright too, don't get me wrong. It is true that if you sampled random days of going here, you might not have a great experience. Some of the former budtenders did suck but they don't work there anymore so I don't think that matters. The budtenders now are awesome and can generally share first-hand knowledge about the current medicine, good or bad. I'm glad they've all managed to stay around this long and I hope the founder and the budtenders know that some people think they are doing a good job.

A rather poor club. Low quality meds. |

I don't know who this guy thinks he is, but the Arcata iCenter I know is good. Although sometimes strange smelling month old popcorn nuggets are sold there, they always have something fresh and delicious, and I've never seen spider mites or mold on anything from them. But they aren't as good as some others, and here's why: They have some decent stuff, and some really thick, fresh, sweet, clean buds. I think most people would just rather go to the place down the street that has better atmosphere, customer service, buds on display in jars, and the convenience of knowing exactly where and how your medicine is produced; in the room behind the counter, and scientifically. All the iCenter needs to break its competition is a couple thousand dollars to invest in more equipment, and whatever else they need to turn their huge, mostly empty building with a small shop in the back into a medical grade cannabis farm and dispensary. |

I've read alot of these reviews and basically stayed away from this place for a little while untill yesterday. No one open but them! I must say besides the appearance of this place they do have quality meds. I got 2.5g's of "Miss Bliss's Sis" and let me tell you what. This medicine is awesome! They completely blew away anything I've gotten from others so far. They have hash and they also have better deals on joints and cheaper sacks of crumble and what not. These guys aren't to far behind others after they hopefully get a bigger room to support more patients than one or two at a time.. |

Do not vend here unless you're really desperate, the staff is nice even with being on the verge of a nervous breakdown from the owner. The owner tries to screw vendors by not paying when he is supposed to. The owner is also dealing with a bunch of lawsuits from vendors; he’s a shady character who should not be supported in this community. |

Hey talk about flaky time wasters, they are so unprofessional and immature. They ask for starts but when presented with perfect trays they want to consign them then say well they haven't the room. I will present a policy for having to be a 5-year county resident to open a storefront. However, as I see it, a lot of out- of-staters and those from L.A .- le them at this place. I think it's a little nefarious as I am not in need of their service but simply vending. So I will not take my product to them. I'll stick to the old Arcata cooperative. |

It’s really unfortunate that some d-bag from Chicago can still have a club even though it has enough bad reviews to fill a book. The owner should be ran out of town. He isn't worthy of Humboldt weedpot, or eating the corn out of my poop. |

The people are very nice and helpful here. But the clones do have spider mites. I have gotten them twice from HPRC. |

Moved to the area in August. I have been going to this establishment for weeks. There is definetly room for improvement, but the male staff is pretty nice. The guy with the long ponytail and is asian maybe, he is pretty informative. They show you what they have, they let you smell it, investigate, weight it out infront of you, and have a pretty good selection most of the time. They also let you bring what you have back if you are not happy with it, so long as its in the same condition as it went out (not smashed up or anything). Its not cheap buts its not too expensive. I think its pretty good here. |

Worst place ever! No one who works there seems knowledgeable about marijuana. There is a very, very high turnover rate. I was sad to see the one dude go, he and the black dude were always helpful. The boss seems to complicate the situation more than help. He is constantly talking down to the employees. He is terrible towards his vendors (me) and treats everyone like crap, including his young daughter. I do not find it a comfortable place to buy my medicine because of the stress level. I don't want to hear a baby screaming through a baby monitor while I'm picking up my medicine. |

I definitely won't go to this clinic anymore. Last time I stepped foot in there they had a shady little dude holding a video camera, taping all the patients while they waited in line and bought their medicine. I asked them what they were doing and they claimed it was for a "documentary." Now, whether it's for an documentary or not, I don't want to be filmed by anything other than a security camera while I am in a clinic purchasing medicine. I asked them not to film me, but they continued to do so. |

The iCenter is the worst dispensary I've ever been to. The staff is rude and unorganized, and everytime I've gone in there is some stupid side talk going on. The quality of the bud is okay for the donation, but is overlooked by how awful this place is. The only thing good about this place is the hours. I leave feeling like I shouldn't have given this establishment my money. My advice is go to the 2 other places in arcata and avoid this place altogether. |

First stop here I called for about 10 minutes and no one answered. I pulled up to the location and saw people coming in, so I went in and sat in the new patient area and waited, and waited, and waited. After about 40 minutes, I gave up and left. I came back the next day to try it again, and I waited 20 minutes to get acknowledged and another 15 to get in. While waiting, there was an argument in the waiting room between a vendor and one of the co-op staff over money and they basically told him, too bad come back another time, the owner is too busy to deal with you". Shady! |

I waited about 45 minutes to be verified and go to the bud room. Poor selection and poorly handled medicine. The flowers/hash/keif is kept in ziplock bags in a drawer, not the best conditions for medicine. The budtender handled the flowers with his hands, breaking up large buds and giving me the broken off pieces. The buds taste chemmy and harsh. This clinic is wack. |

We just went in today for the frist time and it took us about an hour to get some meds. While we were waiting to be verified, we heard the guy that took our ID's argue on the phone about how he deserves a raise. Another guy came out complaining about the meds being unlabeled. After a long wait, we were invited into the med room to buy some quality medication for a decent price. |

I dropped by Saturday to pick up some medicine, I really like how they showed me the product, and it was very nice buds. Now the guy goes to weigh out, and he starts breaking the buds and weighing them. He was taking nice buds and breaking them down, giving me the tip of the buds. I started to comment but decoded I was getting less stem, and receiving the uppermost part of bud is good, however on the way home to eureka I started thinking the snapping the buds in pieces breaks off the triggs over the bag, leaving the Icenter with the active thc from the triggs. I wish the places would train their employees of how to handle cannabis. I guess it's a good deal for the icenter workers. I think I will reconsider using them in the future. |

I stopped in the I center today to pick up some medicine and it was a very positive experience. The service was great and I felt they wanted me to get their best medicine. The suggestion was bubba kush, they had just gotten it in and it was very good in a joint. I normally vaporize, but wanted to enjoy the ocean a little. Taste, burn well, good cure, I even examined it under my microscope. Trigs mature and in tact. I'm also impressed about the way it works. They showed me the product in a big bag. It was wonderful, big, sticky buds. And the hours are accessible for me, now that I don't drive anymore. |

I recently heard that the iCenter sold male clones!!! This goes to show just how desperate to make money they are, and just how much they do not care about the customer. I have stopped going there after they ripped off many of my friends who happen to vend. The medicine they do sell, is pure crap! It tastes of chemicals, doesn't look all that great, and the staff just doesn't seem to know what they are doing. I think if you are going to work in this field, you should have knowledge of what you are selling and buying. The staff at the Icenter just seem to be a bunch of stoners, not concerned with the medical side of things, just the money. The staff is quite rude and unprofessional. It's sad what the Icenter has become. I once even wrote a positive review on this site for them...I'm sorry to anyone who went in after reading it. I would recommend that if you want quality meds, stay away from the iCenter! |

This place gets a lotta hate but I think that's because it's the most active club. I don't buy much medicine and I don't vend at all. |

The Arcata I Center is one of the worst dispensaries that you can deal with. The owner seems to be constantly out thinking himself. Not to mention he has fired his entire staff many times over. I use to vend with them but I will never step foot in his establishment again. He thought he would get me to sell my product and sell based upon sales document. Then when I had a problem with it, he immediately said that I had a product which had a smell issue which would cause him to have to reduce the purchase price even further. The owner is full of games and is attempting to stay afloat on the backs of a few vendors desperate enough to give him their medicine to keep the lights on. We all have our issues but this company has taken a turn for the worst. We should all stand up and put a end to people like this. Stop going in and use on of the other choices. The community would be better of if we did. |

I have read all the reviews for the various clubs in the area, and despite the negative feedback that the iCenter receives; I am still a loyal customer. The products they recommend are always exactly what they claim. I feel sorry for some of the disgruntled growers who have a bad experience with this place. I would not go anywhere else in this city for my medicine. The employees have always been courteous and treated me with the utmost respect. Though every business has room for improvement, I am happy with the service I receive at this establishment. Thank-you iCenter for never letting me down! |

The I Center has had it's good and bad days. I have gone in and sold quality medicine for a great price and I have bought quality medicine for a great price. I have read all these negative reviews, and I think people are exaggerating a bit. I have been there on days where the staff have not been the most polite, but I haven't seen those same people working there since. The owner, when there, has always been polite to me and has even asked for my opinion on some medicine he was about to purchase. So, they do care what their clients think. I believe everyone has their bad days but to not give this place a chance, well you would just be missing out! If you have a problem with the staff, ask to speak with the owner about it. If there is a problem with the medicine you are buying or the clones you are picking up, say something to the owner/management. Feedback is what is needed, constructive feedback. I would love to have a job in this field. I have lots of experience and those who do work there should feel lucky and always remember they are there to serve the sick. I would recommend this dispensary to all. |

These people are hustling, ignorant jerks. The club really sucks as a customer or a vendor! If you vend there, expect delayed payment and a lot of screwing around. They ruined 3 ozs. of my precious batch and claimed that almost a half oz. was lost to a "cure". As soon as you sign that damn contract your product will be abused and turned into a bunch of duff. They cherry pick your herb, dry it out into dust, then beat it with a hammer! Seriously shady operation over there. |

I have heard enough bad reviews from this website/trustworthy friends to never step into the icenter. You people are not a true medical cannabis dispensary, and probably never will be. All I ever see in and out of there are college kids who want to get stoned, which is fine, but don't hide behind a proposition that was put into place because there were people who were actually sick that needed and still need cannabis as a medicine. You are just legalized drug dealers in my eyes. Just look at the owner. Open your eyes, get real, put down the pipe for a minute and think realistically. Any person with half a brain would be able to tell you that the icenter is a front. |

I would like to respond to a couple of posts. First off, Dave P, you never worked here, don't lie. Second, Monte, we are sorry for that incident. We all have bad days and you are welcome back anytime. Third, no offense Arcata, but this must be the hardest place to staff employees. This isn't just a "cool job". People that come in here are sick and in need of their meds, which creates a need for excellent customer service skills, not an easy find. Then there are other people's money and product that are handled and requires a serious attention to detail, also, not easy to find. So yea, we go through employees a lot faster than we want to. |

Formerly one of the best dispensaries in Humboldt County, the iCenter has taken a turn for the worse in the last year or so. The Arcata iCenter used to offer excellent service and medicine, but it seems these days to be sorely lacking in both aspects of the business. First on a list of grievances is the poor attitude and unprofessional conduct of the staff, who constantly swear, make fun of patients, are are dressed like outcasts from a Snoop Dawg video. Secondly, the medicine is just not on par with the other dispensaries in the area as it often consists of small, improperly dried buds with low crystal content. The iCenter used to offer quality medicine and service but I believe the dispensary is now synonymous with poor quality all around. |

They suck! I have bought clones and they were not what they were represented to be and had bugs, which is to be expected, but they should be the strain that they said it was. They really do suck. |

I gave this dump 1 star because they didn't have a place for a zero. Rude... that is the word to describe the people and operation at this establishment. Told to come in and then as soon as I showed them the medicine thy said they were'nt taking any any at the moment. Basically, my experiences at this dispensery matches all the other ones that received one or two stars. In other words... rudeness, misinformation, long waits followed by ignorance and more rudeness. No business there. |

I'm sorry, but the people that have given this club a positive review were lucky on that day. Though they do have quite a few relatively good strains, the staff turnover is really bad and that is the worst problem. the staff is absolutely rude!!! I have been a loyal customer for over 2 years, spending a great deal of money, I might add. Because of the rudeness that staff treated me with, I won't be going back. I guess they can afford to lose the money i was spending there. I was just not treated with respect. If this is the best Humboldt has to offer, Humboldt isn't all that!!! Zero stars. |

I spoke to a guy over the phone who was very friendly. He invited me to come in with samples and register as a vendor. I went in the next day and was greeted by a girl who was lukewarm at best. No smile, no friendly greeting. She actually acted as if I was inconveniencing her. She took my ID and 215 letter and told me to wait. After quite some time she came back stating she could not verify my 215 as she could not contact my physician and said I could come back the following day. I said I had come all the way from south of Eureka, so could I just leave the samples and call the following day. She accepted the samples and I called the next day again speaking with a very friendly fellow who said one of my samples was very good and they wanted it, but he was waiting for the owner to get in and he asked me to call back. I called back a couple hours later and was told to call back again. I called the following day and got the rudest man on the phone saying they didn't need anything, that they were well stocked. Well why have me bring in my samples then and waste my time and gas? He told me to call back in two weeks. No thank you! It must be nice to have a business where you can scam people into personally delivering to you your daily high. |

The worst club in Humboldt, period! I have vended with them several times, but will never do business with them again. They will take your weed, weigh it in the other room, and then short you. They do Based Upon Sales, then don't have the money or weed to give you back. If you do take your weed back, it's been kiefed and the bag is all shake. Their tun over of employees is incredible. Two of the recently hired/fired managers have told me, " Hey, this is a $10/hr shit job". The problems at this establishment are systemic. The only people who give them good references are out of towners (Usually HSU students), who just don't know. No offense to the HSU students!!! |
|

I've vended to them for 3 years, but I only sell them weed if it's moldy and/or bug infested. They're rude and don't pay the vendors in a timely fashion as stipulated in their contracts. If in Arcata and purchasing weed, I would not go here. |

Well, I frequent this shop and I agree with All of the statements, good and bad. The staff is friendly, just in a hurry because they have people waiting over 30 minutes in there. If this place was REALLY only interested in money they would have the facilities to serve more than one at a time. |

Do not bring your medicine here! They Suck! I left them a sample with my name and strand. Its been two weeks and I decided call them. They told me that my sample is not around and they don't know where it is? I would at least like a call saying "We don't need your medicine or were over stocked right now." The people inside are not very friendly, they want you in and out. No one ever says "hey how are you today?" They look at you and say "what do you want." Grow up guys and get on the ball. |

Do not go here. This is the worst club in humboldt. The staff here does not know anything about the medicine or clones they are selling. The medicine over half the times (prob. more) have mold, mite damage, and just sucks. They have signs looking for (high quality medicine) but when you bring it in, they give you a whole load of bull shit and want to pay you dick for the time and energy it takes to produce mold/bug free high quality medicine. They are scam artists, if you want to be treated like a custe, then go to the icenter. |

Great quality meds! Tons of different kinds that taste and smell very good. They only see one person at a time in the room so they rush you a bit, but its definitely worth it!! Recommended for everyone. |

These people are a joke when it comes to a knowledgable and professional dispensary. The owner has ripped off about every grower in the area on clones, and he cares nothing about compassion. He is strictly in it for the money. I know, I used to work there... He tells growers that most of their clones died or were not rooted properly, and he can't pay them... He yells at employees, and is truly unprofessional... You would get better service from a hippy in the Plaza... |

Coming from the LA area, I thought I had been to some pretty shady clinics, but that's before I moved up to Arcata and went to the iCenter. The staff is rude and it seems that their main goal is to get your money and get you out; they don't care if you find the right medicine or not. The sacks aren't pre-weighed but you have to ask them to see every strain, and they are reluctant to let you look through more than 3-4 even though they have 10+ strains. Additionally, some of their better strains aren't even up on the board, so you have to ASK to see "what's not on the menu" just to get the good stuff. |

This is the worst cannabis club i have ever been to. Good location in a well kept building, but sorry to say that is the highlight of this club. Employees only serve one at time resulting in a 15 min wait minimum. Medicine is not preweighed, only 3 to 4 strains to choose from as far as clones go. |

I was on vacation and decided to stop by on a Sunday. They were really strict about verifying with my doctor, who was not available until Monday, therefore, no medicine until Monday. The dude running the spot seemed like he was really up-tight; however, I got great service. the quality of the medicine was outstanding! They had several different strains of Train Wreck which are sure to cure whatever ails you. I had a great experience at this place and will come back many times. |

I used to love this club, I frequented it on a very regular basis. In the last month or two this club has gone down hill. This club used to have lots strains to choose from and at least 80% of them were great. In my past few visits (about 4) my opinion of the club has changed. |

Ive been going there for 4 months now, and havent found anything wrong with the place or the medicine. Some staff members are nice, but others seem to be more up-tight. I make sure that the product I buy is what I want and I inspect it before I leave, same with the clones. |

This club is absolutley horrible. I swear the owner buys the cheapest medicine he can find. Every time I go in, the buds have mold or bugs and the buds are always tiny. I will never go back, Last year, they were selling Light Depp for indoor prices, Trying to fool the patients by saying it was indoor. They have no clue what he is doing. He runs his club like it was So Cal, This is Humboldt buddy, you suck. I highly reccomend going elsewhere. |

So I had always heard some shady reviews about this place but now they are confirmed. I purchased a few clones there today. I get home and one of them is not even rooted to the plug. So I drive back (within minutes) and they tell me I am suspect and that they cannot exchange it. What kind of business is this? Instead of compassion for a paying customer I get suspicious inquiries. Always check your clones before leaving this place They will hustle you! |

This place is staffed by rude and unprofessional-acting people. My ID card was returned to me by a woman throwing it from a distance. I had to pick it up off the floor. The place is also rundown, shabby and dirty. Arcata has better dispensaries! |

This is the best club in Nor Cal, The best meds at the right price. There super friendly they have great clones (no bugs). If you are thinking of going you have to get your doc to verify on the phone as well as having your scrip. Check this place out if you are in the area. |

The Arcata iCenter is positively worth the drive. I drove 325 miles just to go there. Why, because the rumors (reviews) are true. The two gentlemen working were very courteous and answered all of my questions. I was greeted at the door and brought to a side office for a brief verification. After that I was brought into a private, one-on-one service room. A chalk board with apprx 16 strains although some where out. Not a big deal. I would rather keep the medicine fresh than to overstock. They also had one kief and one hash. I like providers to show (show off) their herbs. They placed large open bags on the table for me to examine. I found one of their indicas to be an A++, one of the best I have had and it had a dynamite high. As far as prices, I found them to be excellent. It's nice to see an organization who is really one of two providers, not jack up there prices. Didn't make it to the other one. I am sure it's nice too but iCenter is a must. |

This is hands down the best club in Nor Cal. The customer service is top notch. They welcome you with a smile and treat first timers with the same respect as the regulars. the staff are wonderful. They know their meds and friendly as can be. They have the best meds in the state! They sell outdoor as outdoor, indoor as indoor, and it is priced correctly. They have hash, dj short seeds, and clones. The quality of the meds are the best I have ever seen in such variety. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they have no smoking lounge. You must pre-register, call first. |

What is up with this place? So unfriendly! Call and ask what strains they have available and the answer is they do not give that information out over the phone. So I am expected to drive 15 miles to find out they don't have anything that works well for me. I don't imagine the iCenter will survive too long unless they get someone more user friendly to answer the phone. They would be better off letting the machine pick up then have that girl take their calls. Odd behavior for medical marijuana club employee. Chill out and relax, would ya? |

This was my 1st time to visit a store and it was awesome! Everyone was polite and informative of which made me feel most welcome. My wait was short as they verified my letter and helped me to decide which meds would best serve my needs. You can't go wrong here! I'll be back. Thanks to all the brave folks that make these meds possible for those of us that suffer from debilitating diseases. |

Some in the community disparage this club due to its easily accessible location and the healthy food that was allegedly served without proper paperwork. Despite those illogical claims, this is an example of how to run a compassionate business. They offer valuable services such as biofeedback and are genuinely concerned about a patient's health and well-being. It is definitely a far cry from the clubs which are only concerned with a single goal. |

I enjoy my visits to Arcata and seeing the selection available at the icenter. There is always answers to my questions as far as lineage and buzz-type. I am always greeted warmly and given excited explanations of each and every bud available with taste and flavor notes, too. Sometimes I wish they had more power-hitters such as good ol SD, or any of its freakishly strong offspring and hybrids. But alas I always come home with some fruity stuff and so far have been able to try at least 12 different kinds of authentic by the book strands that provided adequete releif for a multitude of side effects and symptoms |
